Action
No change is ever without action and inaction is action. too. A conscious or unconscious refusal to take action against the destruction of our planet is equivalent to taking action for its very destruction.
Reaction
Everyone needs to decide for themselves when action should be taken and when not.
Every action or lack thereof triggers a reaction. Whether I stop buying plastic toothbrushes or continue to do so directly impacts the bottom line of manufacturers. Manufacturers are not evil incarnate. They protect their investment and react to market demands. The more people shift their purchase interest, the more manufacturers shift their production.
Adversity
Change is always met with adversity. Clinging to old ways or simply sticking to what we know. People will want to keep their old plastic toothbrush simply because it comes in bright colors. Manufactures may lower their prices to counteract reduced demand.
